For all berliners. And those who want to be.

It’s no coincidence that Berlin’s street food scene once made a name for itself worldwide. Beyond the typical tourist hot spots and selfie locations – the neighbourhood surrounding Alexanderplatz is home to a surprising mix of highlights.

Between socialist grandeur, hipster hangouts, historic landmarks, and international shopping streets, The Berlinian mirrors the unique diversity and openness of Berlin, its surroundings, and a neighbourhood that is constantly reinventing itself.

SCENE CULTURE

Street art brings all sides of Berlin together

Born in the 1980s in East Berlin, the graffiti scene has always pushed the city’s story forward: a wild, visible dialogue between East and West, commerce, subculture, and history – just like the diverse neighbourhood around The Berlinian. It is a connecting element, showcasing the many facets of Berlin, whether on the RAW site in Friedrichshain, huge legal murals or paste-ups on construction site walls. Even Alexanderplatz itself becomes a canvas.

Coffee, Culture and Cobblestones

Employees of the new high-rise have plenty to discover within walking distance: from the grand socialist buildings along Karl-Marx-Allee, to the trendy courtyards around Hackescher Markt, to the historic old town. And just a few steps further, a treasure trove of international shopping chains.

“Street art brings people together – it is the glue that connects Berlin’s extraordinary diversity.”
